I am prepairing for a solo Exhibition at the Seagull Gallery at the Bowls Club Hornsea That's for the month of March.
The March exhibition went well, I have had two paintings accepted for the Artwaves Exhibition at the Spa in Bridlington in May. Went to a super Charity lunch for the Kerry Key Foundation in early June where two of my prints I donated were raffled for a very good cause.
Arrived back from a lovely holiday in Greece the day before the hanging of the Hornsea art society Annual exhibition at the Masonic hall in Hornsea, a very good exhibition, made even better by me winning the " Wynn Harrison Trophy" for a flower painting, My Fantasy Iris,a nice end to July.
On Sunday the 12th of August I exhibited at Art in the Aisles in St Mary's church , Beverley, a lovely venue, this is the third year I have done this and it is always enjoyable.
In between more holidays I have been either sketching outside or in my studio and very preoccupied with water, reflections and pebbles. Hence the canvases "Reflections" and "Ebb Tide " I am still fascinated with the tide marks left on the beach and the way the receding water swirls between the pebbles....more canvases to come no doubt.
As Autumn began to draw in I began taking more notice of the beautiful church windows in Beverley and Hull giving rise to "Evening Service" and "Heavenly windows" These I painted on Board, for a change. I have still got a few more in the pipeline.
We have booked a holiday to Menorca next Spring , I always think of their lovely processions and fiestas so no doubt something will be looming on the horizon in the New Year.
Due to ill health I haven't done much life drawing this year, I miss it and hope to get back into it next year.
I sent a Flower painting on canvas board to "Patchings "Christmas exhibition Nottingham.
Hornsea Art Society have got an Exhibition At "Burton Constable Hall" until the 20th of December, I have got Three paintings there, there were Four but, Peter Levy did a charity Tandem ride for Children in need and I was acting steward when they called in at Burton Constable hall for tea, so I donated one of my small canvases in exchange for a bit of advertising for Hornsea Art Society. It was a lovely afternoon, Peter and Abbie are really nice people.
On the 25th of November I went to the Preview of the Christmas Exhibition at Gallery 49 where I am pleased, and proud to say I have four painting on display. The exhibition runs until the 14th of January. It is a super Exhibition, not to be missed. The gallery is in the Market place at Bridlington old town. A lovely venue in a beautiful characterful old house. A must to see.
